Malachi's Big Day

well well well... me and Malachi had our first big day together... his first day of school.  It was a big deal to me as it's been hard for me to part with my little man, even though I've had help from 2 wonderful caretaking women in the foundation of his growth.

I was brought up with my dear mom's love and care... by herself, well, with my dad, once he came home from work.

here is my family growing up ... this was for Joshua's 2nd birthday... I am the smiley one hugging the fresh 2 year old so tight :)

I was concretly raised in that fashion I guess, so the preschool thing was a really big deal.  Which is a huge compliment to the school that M is in now.  I have been a tough critic of ELDC in Lynnwood.Elijah has spent the last 2 years there, and I can honestly say that those teachers really care about the well-being of their kiddos.  I am so happy to have trust where my son is taught his life lessons and how he should be treating others.

If I have one wish for my son is that he grows into a caring, loving, affectionate, passionate, happy being.  I believe that is taught when people are young... and if it's not taught, then it takes an ultra amazing person to not be taught that and just to be.

I had to write a letter to him though... like if an earthquake, or natural disaster ever happened... that was so hard.  I can't imagine the pain and sadness that a parent deals with the loss of a little one :( I couldn't imagine if anything were to happen to my sweet boys.  Anyways... I love you Malachi :) I had the best time with you today taking you to school on your first day! Don't think you are the sweetest ever though... because you called your teacher 'stupid' for taking Elijah away from you... ;) so you got in trouble tonight :( You weren't allowed to watch TV ALL NIGHT! omgosh! :) it was actually one of the funnest nights as a parent I've ever had :) you and Elijah TORE your rooms apart... your countless toys were STREWN all over both of your rooms.  Thankfully it's really easy to clean your rooms...

I got to pick out your and Elijah's clothes for school tomorrow.  It was my first time :) It was really cool - I have you wearing matching jeans, tops, you have a cool red football jacket and Elijah has his Superman Letterman's coat thing.  It was great reading to you tonight (the Barney Counting Book)... the Number 9 guy has his baseball cap on backwards.

You said, "hey mommy, that's a DUDE" ... I said... "How do you know he's a dude?" you said... "because his baseball hats' on backwards!... me and Elijah are gonna do that on the playground tomorrow!!" and then you and Elijah gave each other big hugs and kisses like you do every single night I am here when you go to bed and you happily slept with the toy of your choice for the night.  (the gun you were using to shoot bad guys as a secret agent Oso... your latest fave show on Disney Comcast :).

i love my guys... :)
