each day something else happens to help me to understand this. Today I taught Malachi how to set his alarm clock, and what it means. Yesterday I had to wake him up before Neveah's birthday party, and it was so annoying. He was so ANGRY to be woken up from his precious sleep! ha ha! I had to explain to him today that sometimes you get as much sleep as your body asks for, but when you start to get older, and you have things that you need go to at a certain time you have to set an alarm clock.
He just recently learned about the fire alarm and what that means, so he gave me a look of concern. I quickly broke it down what the difference was between an 'alarm' clock and a fire 'alarm.' It's amazing at what one little matching word can represent to a 3 year old ;)
So. We set his alarm clock for the first time today. To wake up at 1:30 so his Norma can take him to Isabella's Birthday party today.
