Sort of like an empty nest ...

middle of June... typically in most areas this would mean summer has begun and we are visiting the pool, etc. but not necessarily us here in Seattle, WA.  It's still REALLY rainy here... which I DO NOT mind at all, but it is notable I think :)  I actually really love the rain.  Sort of why I'm happy all the time maybe? I can have just a teensy tiny bit of sun and be perfectly full filled :) Thank my beautiful parents that I tan easily, so when I get like 20 min of some rays I get a tan line... woo hoo!! :)

SO. The point of my post is that we also have NO CHILDREN this week... sort of our pretend empty nest practice.  I can't wait until Erik and I get to spend lots of time with just each other.  I adore him so much.  We've gotten to know each other more as parents than as people, so I forget sometimes what a perfectly beautiful person he is... not just a wonderful parent.

These pics seem appropriate as I was trying to take them while we had no kids here last night.  Our little nest outside our back door window has finally peeked with life.  We've been keeping an eye on it for a month or so now, and sure enough as soon as the boys are gone, the babies appear!

I love facebook to keep in touch.  I haven't felt so close to some of my siblings ever, and it's great to see them with their personalities and their day to day activities and what impulses them to chat about something.  I'm actually excited for the boys to get a fb page, as it's an ideal diary really! :) (public style however...) These are some of the sweet posts that Flossie posted this week... they make me so happy!
