Slip n Slide :)

Today marked one of the hottest days in history for us here in the Pacific NW. OMGosh, it was sweltering today! I didn't really mind a whole lot, as weather isn't a reason for me to feel emotion particularly... but there was a point around 3:30 or 4:00 when I was laying on my living room floor while trying to work on a somewhat stressed out work situation, that I felt like actually passing out due to how hot I felt.

I had such a great day with the boys though all in all. It's difficult for me to feel satisfied about being a mother during the work week as I am on my cell phone a lot and I don't feel like I am able to give all of me in certain moments because I'm just not all there as of course I need to give an amount of me to whomever I might be working with at that point on my cell ;)
One of my most favorite moments today was when we busted out the slip and slide.

Erik and I sat at the kitchen table for a good 30 minutes just watching the boys play and it was so much fun! They are such sweet and funny little guys :)

Elijah sat with his head in the spraying stream for minutes at a time, and who knows what Malachi was doing ... simply running around from one corner of the yard to the other exploring, etc... I wish I had taken more pics or a video but I was in the process of making a super yummy dinner so I wasn't able to be photographer mommy at that time... ;)
