Happy Day to Celebrate Love...

Valentine's Day is one of my very favorite holidays.  I didn't realize men were romantic... Romeo and Juliet style before I met Erik.  He is such my soulmate... He writes poems :) He wrote me the most beautiful poem and not only was it so perfectly fit for us, he insisted on reading it to me in the sweetest way.

NO REGRETS

sometimes i'm sad when i think of what we've missed

it was 27 years of my life gone before we first kissed

think of all the dates and moments shared with another

and even a child born by an untrusting mother

if only we could go back and i could take you to prom,

and you were the one that both boys could call mom.

I'd never bear the thought that I had to share you before

until i came into your life even though i wanted you more.

but instead, i stop and think, then i thank my lucky star,

be careful what you wish for, things look better from afar

i realize now, that we've learned so much from our past,

That make us today a pair that will forever last.

Those others just helped us to practice and learn;

To be perfect for each other when it was finally our turn.

It gave us perspective and led me to absolutely no doubt

That you are my girl until the sun's light burns out.

It just doesn't seem like enough to say I love you,

But what else is there beyond that and "I do"?

Well the truth is that words only say so much,

And only so much love can be given through touch.

It's all in what we do every day of our life,

It's honoring and cherishing my beautiful wife.

Life without love is nothing, this is true,

And that's why always and forever, I will live you.
